LOWLANDS

SINGLE MALT SCOTCH WHISKY

The lowlands of Scotland are not seen as traditional whisky country, but some of the easiest-drinking single malts come from this region. As an example, Auchentoshan, known as “breakfast whisky” in the trade, offer softer malts than their more rugged counterparts from the other regions.

With toffee, vanilla, cereal and grassy flavours amongst their characters, this region is friendly and even soft, but not bland. This is a great region to find your feet in the world of whisky.
